a glimpse into my history... 13 years ago, i was a kitchen designer for a local company with no thoughts of having a career as a photographer. a customer observed photos of my then little ones on my desk and asked who took them. when i told her I had, she convinced me to take her wedding photos. i had a film camera at the time...(digital was just coming on the market) so i grabbed 20 + rolls of 35 mm film, and headed to my very first wedding. i was so nervous that i almost backed out! what the hell was i thinking??! i have never done this before, and now some of the most important photos in this couples lifetime, would be my responsibility??!
it was a small garden wedding in their backyard...about 30 people in attendance. it was still one of the most intimate , emotional and heartfelt weddings i have done to this day. and it had me at hello! i was hooked. i knew by the end of that day, i had to do this photography thing. i had been to weddings as a guest of course... you observe the couple and see their joy. but as a photographer, its different. it is incredibly intimate, experiencing emotion through a lens. it draws you into peoples relationships in ways most will never experience. i began my photography career that year and never looked back.
