IN THE SPIRIT OF GIVING.

GIVING IS AWESOME

You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty.

I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography – a value of $500. Included is a complimentary session and complimentary prints.

I will also give a free portrait session to you, if your nominee is chosen.

The rules:

You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services.

The nominee must reside within a 50 mile radius of Washington/Peoria Il area. Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.

Comment on this blog entry to let me know you’ve entered, and e-mail me the full story: pam@pamcooleyphotos.com.

The winner will be announced on Christmas Eve.

PAY IT FORWARD

i like seeing POSITIVE things in the media for a change!!
hmmmm… makes one ponder what the outcome could be if WE all did this just once a day for the next few days….

SAM.

IN MEMORY OF SADIE, ABBEY AND MOSES.

we have had dogs for the 9 out of 10 years together, gary & i. they have been big dogs, a black lab, a german sheperd, and a pure white german sheperd, and last but not least a pit bull mix. all were great companions, all who have gone from us. this year has been especially tragic for us with our fido buddies. having lost moses in feb. to a heart defect at 9 months old, to the loss of our beloved sadie and abbey just last monday. i was convinced that maybe we were not meant to have dogs in our lives for whatever reason. but looking at my son, in his grief from this recent loss, i could not bear the thought of depriving him of his special connection with animals.
the next day i found sam. i sat on the floor amongst 5 fabulous puppies only 5 weeks old. the first one to me was this little guy…he had a very calm nature and soothing snuggle. i was smitten and knew this little guy was coming home with me very soon.
i surprised seth with him and the look on my sons face will be etched on my heart til i die. he was so happy! healing has begun , again. sam has a big plate to fill, coming after his MUCH larger canine brothers and sisters, named after the 3 we lost this year, but i can already tell he is up for the task.

meet sam…
